Maritime workers felictate with Tinubu on his election victory

… Hails Nigerian women on International Women’s Day celebrations

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has congratulated the President-elect, Asuwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over his victory at the last presidential election.

In a press statement issued on March 8, 2023 and signed by the Secretary General, Comrade Oniha Erazua, the Union led by Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, expressed optimism that Senator Tinubu’s regime would bring progress to Nigeria and its people devoid of ethnic and religious differences.

“The Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the leadership of the President-General, Comrade (Prince) Adewale Adeyanju felicitate with the President -Elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who recently won the presidential election in Nigeria under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress (APC)”, the union stated.

MWUN expressed the hope that the President-elect, whose mantra had always been One Nigeria, would use his Presidency to achieve progress for all irrespective of political, religious or ethnic leanings.

“Given the state of Nigeria today, the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) will no doubt but put in every machinery in place for a progressive Nigeria and for Nigerians devoid of political, religion or ethnic divide because he has always believed in the One-Nigeria project that will accommodate all and sundry, which has always been one of his mantras if he becomes the President of Nigeria”, the Union added.

Meanwhile, the Union has also congratulated Nigerian women and their counterparts all over the world, on this year’s celebration of International Women’s Day.

In another press statement, the Union remarked that it was proud to associate with the women, especially those in Nigeria, for their immense contributions towards the growth and development of the country.

In its words, “the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria felicitates with women across the globe on their annual event of the International Women’s Day.

“We are proud to associate with you, especially the women in Nigeria, who have contributed immensely to the growth of the home front and in building of the nation in their various fields of human endeavours”.

It added, “the Union will continue to support women inclusiveness in all areas of professionalism as they have proved themselves in recent past in various fields” just like their men counterparts” .

The union also stated that women had the capacity, as their men folks, to build societies and positively impact on their individual countries.

“As a Union, we celebrate with you on this occasion of the International Women’s day. The leadership of the Union under the leadership of the Presidential-General, Comrade (Prince ) Adewale Adeyanju wishes to congratulate you all, while wishing you a successful Women’s Day celebration”, it concluded.
