The GBAALOO Nyo- khana in the United States of America – a social cultural organization has condemned in strong terms the killing of a female police inspector, Mrs. Christiana Erekere , attached to Taabaa Divisional Police Station on April 29, 2024, while on official duty.
This was made known in a statement e-signed by the Chairman of the outreach committee of Gbaaloo Nyo-Khana USA Mr. LeBari Legah Nzidee
The statement tasked the police high command to carry out thorough investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the broad daylight killing of the late police inspector.
“The association and the entire Ogoni people extend its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased Ogoni police officer during this difficult time.
It noted that Gbaaloo Nyo-khana in the United States of America will be focusing her searchlight on the police high command to ensure that the killers of this officer are prosecuted and brought to justice .
We implore the authority to do something about it, and the killing of the police officer shouldn’t just swept under the carpet as done in previous matters.
The Association observed that it was a slap on the police authority that her officer on duty was killed in the front of the Police Station, thereby exposing their inability to fight crime, even the very one affecting them .
