In furtherance to carefully laid out measures geared towards promoting export trade, the NPA is determined to sustain the increase in number of export cargo arising from the Authority’s licensing of Export Processing Terminals (EPTs), Managing Director/ CEO Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Mohammed Bello KoKo received executives of the Satellite Truck Park Owners Association at the NPA Headquarters in Marina.
The meeting which focused on placing the needed priority on export cargo in response to the national exigency of boosting exports to strengthen Nigeria’s balance of trade, also set a timeline for the strict implementation of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) governing truck management and satellite park operations to ensure adherence to best practices.
The Mohammed Bello KoKo-led management of the NPA had recently unleashed stringent measures in collaboration with Lagos State Government that eliminated the decade-long traffic gridlock that had undermined ease of doing business around the Lagos Ports corridor.
