Executive Chairman, Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Adunni Akindele Opeyemi, has called on Nigerians to stand united behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bold and transformative national rebuilding agenda.
Speaking during a courtesy call to her office by the Grassroots Progressive Sustainability Initiative (GPS-I), Hon. Opeyemi appealed for national unity, patience, and active citizen participation in the ongoing economic and social reforms initiated by the Tinubu administration.
She emphasized that while the country is passing through a difficult phase, the efforts being made at the federal level are designed to create long-term growth, jobs, and stability.
“President Tinubu has taken strong, necessary steps to reposition Nigeria for greatness. As Nigerians, we must support this vision. Rebuilding takes time, sacrifice, and unity of purpose,” she said.
As part of her administration’s commitment to cushioning the effects of current economic challenges at the grassroots level, the Council Boss announced a plan to distribute palliative packages to thousands of vulnerable residents within the LCDA.
The palliatives, which will include food items, cash and essential supplies aimed at supporting the most affected members of the community, including widows, the elderly, and low-income families.
In addition, Hon. Opeyemi will flag off the distribution of school bags and educational materials to pupils across public primary schools in the council area.
This initiative, she noted, is part of her administration’s continued investment in the future of young children and commitment to making education accessible and encouraging.
“Education remains one of our top priorities. These children are the future of Mosan-Okunola and of Nigeria. We will continue to support them in every way possible,” she added.
The Executive Chairperson further noted that her administration has been distributing writing materials to the schools in the council and providing teaching aids to the teachers.

She also called on community leaders, youth groups, religious leaders, and civil society organizations to spread messages of hope and unity, rather than fear or division.
“We all have a role to play—this is not just the President’s job or my job as council chairman. Every Nigerian must be part of this rebuilding process. Together, we can create a better future,” she concluded.
According to the council boss, they would like to work and partner with GPS-I, looking at their aims.
