Reality TV star and entrepreneur Dabota Lawson has taken to Instagram to air her grievances against fellow Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOL) cast member Carolyn Hutchings, accusing her of stirring up unnecessary drama within the group.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Lawson reflected on a recurring pattern of conflicts involving past and present housewives, suggesting that Hutchings was attempting to play the victim in ongoing tensions. She referenced previous feuds involving Toyin Lawani, Chioma Ikokwu, Iyabo Ojo, Laura Ikeji, and Mariam Timmer, noting that accusations of voodoo had also been a persistent theme in past seasons.
“This pattern and script has been played out with Toyin Lawani, Chioma Ikokwu, Aunty Iyabo Ojo, Laura Ikeji, and a sprinkle of Mariam Timmer with the false accusations of voodoo (jazz),” Lawson wrote. “It’s always a case of medicine after death with you.”
Lawson questioned Hutchings’ motives for reigniting conflicts that, according to her, had already been resolved during the show’s last episodes. She emphasized that she personally had no issues with Hutchings during their time together, particularly on a recent beach trip, and was surprised by her co-star’s latest remarks.
“Why you are trying to make yourself the center of something that’s not even a major issue is wild. Or is it abnormal to have misunderstandings as we are getting to know ourselves as a group?” Lawson continued. “The viewers will always have all kinds of opinions based on what they watch. Everybody cannot be Team Caroline, and those that love you will love you regardless.”
Highlighting that RHOL is ultimately a reality show designed for entertainment, Lawson implied that Hutchings might be deliberately stirring controversy for dramatic effect. “The reason why we did this after all, right? FOR ENTERTAINMENT,” she added.
Closing her post with a sarcastic remark, Lawson suggested that she had now become the latest target in a familiar cycle of drama. “I’ve watched this play out on screen and off screen—same tired storyline, just a different season. 🥱🥱🥱 Guess it’s my turn now! I wonder who’s next?”
The feud between Lawson and Hutchings is the latest in a series of clashes that have defined The Real Housewives of Lagos, a show known for its high-society glamor, friendship fallouts, and explosive confrontations. With tensions brewing, fans will be watching closely to see how this latest drama unfolds on and off-screen.
