The newly appointed Customs Comptroller-General, Bashir Wale Adeniyi has said that his administration is ready and will work to enhance security at the borders.

Speaking at reception held to honour him as he visited the Seme border Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, the CGC went further to inform that this will be
rationalized with fewer check points on the road. ” We will enhance Security at the border but will rationalize this with fewer Check – Points.”

Adeniyi urged all to take national security as everyone’s business. “National security is the business of every citizen, people should make the work lighter for security Agencies,” he urged.

Continuing, the Ag. CGC explained that to reinforce security, people must provide credible intelligence to Security Agents to get the job done. ” We have to develop a relationship that is mutually beneficial to all so that more borders will be opened with Vehicles and food items coming in.”
He however informed that as it were, not all the borders have been opened but he revealed that this also is subject to a review.
