CRFFN: Nagaff TinCan Chairman, Dr.Ekweozor rides crest high at graduation

The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), in conjunction with Redeemers’University Ede-Osun State made history with a remarkable maiden graduation of students in FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply chain management, Higher Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply chain management, Executive professional Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply chain management and Training of trainers on Carriage of dangerous goods.

Attending this novel event were the who is who in the fraternity of freight Forwarding, cutting across different states of Nigeria and the FCT.

The two major Associations in the freight forwarding business; Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (Nagaff), led by her President, High Chief Tochuckwu Ezisi.

The Nagaff TinCan Chapter was given its full compliments with the graduation and decoration of it’s Charismatic Chairman, Dr.A Azubuike Ekweozor with FIATA Higher Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply chain management from Redeemers’ University Ede-Osun State (RUN).

Speaking with our Correspondent, Dr. Ekweozor  said the noble profession of freight forwarding will be better with more enlightened professionals saddled with day to day affairs of freight Forwarding businesses in Nigeria.

According to Ekweozor, “anybody who must be reckoned with, in this business today, must first of all undergo a learning process in the four walls of the classroom, learn and become a professional to be able to do the freight forwarding business with dignity and sound mind, with respect equally accorded him or her by all Agencies both government and multinationals who would have acknowledged the difference between a professional and the amateurs,” he asserted.

Continuing, he said, ” studying has exposed me to the whole world as a maritime expert, I now know what is expected of me at every given time as a professional, this has also added to what I already know from operations on the field, it has as well given impetus to my job as a freight forwarder.”

Dr Ekweozor advised all intending entrants in this noble profession to please embrace education, “this will sanitize the industry and our business will flourish, the profession stands to benefit from this,” he submitted.

The Founder Nagaff, Dr.Boniface O. Aniebonam was given a special recognition as an outstanding educational motivator in the freight forwarding industry. He was said to have provided the logistics, including a block of classroom for Freight Forwarders to access FIATA qualifications which made it possible for Redeemers’University to graduate 80 persons.
