Adeyanju, Joe Ajaero’s Victory is a New Dawn for NLC -MAJAN

The Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), has congratulated Comrade Joe Ajaero and Prince Adewale Adeyanju for their victory in the just concluded election of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

The President of MAJAN, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu, who made this congratulatory in a press statement released today, said the victory holds a lot in stock for the Maritime industry.

The MAJAN President said :
“with Joe Ajaero as the new President of NLC and Prince Adewale Adeyanju as 1st. Deputy President, it is a New Dawn for Nigeria Labour Congress.

Comrade Ugochukwu, a seasoned Journalist and renowned writer, said emphatically that NLC under the new leadership will protect the interest of
Nigerian workers and ensures proactiveness in Labour movement.

His words :
“The Maritime workers’ President-General, Prince Adewale Adeyanju, has fought valiantly and won many battles in protecting the interest of dockworkers in the maritime industry.
We are optimistic that he will replicate similar strength, doggedness and proactiveness in taking NLC to greater heights.

“Comrade Ajaero is not new in labour unionism. This is a familiar terrain for him. He has the experience and tenacity to deliver as NLC President.”

The MAJAN President called on Nigerian workers, affiliate Unions and all relevant stakeholders to give Comrade Ajaero, Prince Adeyanju and their entire Exco needed support to move NLC forward.

In the same vein, Ugochukwu also sends his heartfelt felicitation to Comrade Adeyanju on his recent appointmen as a Board member of the National Social Insurance Trust Fund,(NSITF) representing the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
