Tech Meets Finance: Top Nigerian Banks Back HAULMACE 2026 to Transform Logistics

By Jerry Aguigbo

Access Bank, First Bank, and Zenith Bank have joined forces with HAULMACE 2026 to combat deep-seated inefficiencies in Nigeria’s haulage and logistics industry.
The annual conference and exhibition, organized by Haulage & Logistics Magazine, is set for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at The Stable Event Center (45 Bode Thomas Street, Surulere, Lagos). Attendance is free for all industry players.

Operating under the theme “Technology as an Enabler for More Efficient Haulage Operations: The Need for Industry Collaboration,” the summit focuses on slashing operational waste, trimming costs, and boosting profitability.
Convener Alfred Okugbeni noted that the sector remains weighed down by persistent bottlenecks—most notably empty return trips, soaring fuel and maintenance overheads, underutilized trucks, and poor communication between cargo owners and transport companies.
Okugbeni emphasized that digital tools like freight-matching apps, real-time data sharing, and advanced telematics can bridge these gaps, turning empty backhauls into revenue-generating runs.

Keynote Speaker: Jean-Claude Homawoo (Co-founder and CEO of Lori Systems), who will speak on leveraging digital infrastructure for smarter freight transport.
The panelists lined up for this novel event are:
Anuoluwapo Agboola, COO, Dukeridges,
Omotunde Adunbi Ogunbowale, CEO, Tripple A Logistics and Oluwafemi Oladokun, MD, Trucksoft Logistics & Telematics Services.
The panel will dissect the real-world hurdles of running fleet operations in Nigeria and map out actionable strategies for tech adoption and public-private coordination.

In addition to policy and tech-focused panel sessions, HAULMACE 2026 features an exhibition floor where logistics firms, financial institutions, and tech providers will display new products, services, and fleet-management innovations.
Running annually since 2015, HAULMACE continues to serve as a primary meeting point for fleet owners, manufacturers, regulators, and investors to build partnerships that strengthen West Africa’s supply chain network.
