Julius Berger Renovates Lagos Immigration Border Patrol Command Building

The Comptroller, Lagos State Border Patrol Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), David Adedeji Omoniwa, has commended Julius Berger Nigeria Plc for renovating the dilapidated Command building at a cost of millions of naira.
Omoniwa gave the commendation during the official handover of the renovated facility, describing the intervention as a welcome development that would improve the working environment and operational efficiency of officers and men of the Command.
He noted that the building, which was previously in a deplorable condition, had been transformed into a more conducive environment for officers to discharge their duties effectively.
According to him, the renovation has provided the Command with a befitting workplace and demonstrated Julius Berger’s commitment to supporting government institutions and national development.
The Comptroller assured Julius Berger of the continued partnership and cooperation of the Nigeria Immigration Service, stressing that the Command would maintain a cordial relationship with the company.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, the representative of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Mr. Lucky Agbaijama, urged the Comptroller and officers of the Command to utilise the renovated facility judiciously and ensure that it is properly maintained.
Agbaijama also disclosed that Julius Berger was prepared to undertake additional projects for the Nigeria Immigration Service as part of its commitment to supporting the Service.
He further stated that the company was ready to assist the Command with necessary working materials to enhance the effectiveness of its operations.
The renovation and handover of the facility are expected to boost the morale of immigration personnel and provide a more suitable environment for carrying out border control and other statutory responsibilities of the Command.
