MAJAN Elects New Executives.

The Maritime Journalist Association of Nigeria, MAJAN has elected it new executives to oversee the affairs of the association six months after the demise of its Founder/ President, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu (Late).
In the election, Mr Jerry Aguigbo emerged as the President though unopposed and Mr Ranmilowo Ojalumo followed as the vice president.
The election was conducted at the association’s secretariat on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
Other Executive members are Mrs Udeme Clement, Secretary, Mr Frank Odinukaeze of the Premium news daily emerged as the PRO.
Mr Silas Onuoha, Financial Secretary, Love Oyedokun, Treasurer and Mr Okezie Nnadi as the Provost.
The oat of office was administered to the newly elected officers by Pastor Ebenezer William.
Addressing members shortly after he was sworn in, Mr Jerry Aguigbo promised to take the association to the next level by deploying what he had learnt from the former president, late comrade Ray Ugochukwu who died six months ago.
He therefore promise to bring to bear all that he had learnt from the past leader.
However, he thanked all those that participated in the election and promise to deliver more and hope for successful completion of his four years term.
He further urged members to be more proactive in the discharge of their duties while also assuring members of the association’s support at all time.
