The Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service under the watch of Comptroller Frank O. Onyeka is riding the momentum, leveraging the B’Odogwu platform with its revenue generation which has taken a quantum leap.
The Command has steadily enjoyed focused leadership from a revenue Czar, this focused leadership has now been translated into result oriented performances in different facets of its operations which is also attributable to the introduction of the Unified Customs Management System, called B’Odogwu.
The TinCan Island Customs Command has this October alone, pulled a staggering revenue figure of One Hundred and Fifty four billion, three hundred and eighty four million, eight hundred and thirty four thousand, fifty naira and ninety three Kobo (₦ *154,384,834,050.93k* ) only. This revenue figure, from the Command’s public Relations Officer, CSC Oscar Ivara, is its second highest monthly revenue generation so far.
Comptroller Onyeka has reiterated that the revenue breakthrough is attributable to the successful deployment of the indigenous B’Odogwu trade platform, which he revealed to have “significantly improved trade facilitation and enhanced revenue performance.” The Command had recorded its highest monthly revenue collection ever in August 2025, raking in ₦159 billion.
The CAC had then praised the commitment of his officers and commended stakeholders for contributing to the achievement. Indeed, he also then commended the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, for recognising the efforts of the Tin Can Island Port Command officers and granting his support in their activities.
Also a key component of the overall improvement at TinCan Customs is the Command’s policy of collaboration, consolidation and innovation as propagated by the CGC, this has become catalytic in the activities of the Command.
