TinCan Customs Collects N159b In August, As Comptroller Onyeka Decorates Newly Promoted Officers

In line with the wave of promotions pervading the Nigeria Customs Service, which affected about 3312 officers, the TinCan Island Customs Port Command has taken the bull by the horns, as newly promoted officers were decorated today.
A visibly elated Comptroller Onyeka, the Area Controller , TinCan Island Customs Port Command while decorating these officers said that he was happy for these numbers who were promoted under his watch at the TinCan Island Command.
The Controller said that the number of newly promoted officers from TinCan alone, speaks volumes of how well his command is performing.
” Looking at what the CGC has done, speaks volumes, it shows that we are not doing badly.”
Comptroller Onyeka disclosed that his Command in August alone, raked in an Unprecedented revenue figure of 159 billion Naira.
In his words: “For every one of you that wrote the promotion exams from this Command, 87% were promoted. I’m happy today, let’s give glory to God, not minding where our contemporaries are, ahead of us or below, we should also look at the flip side. For those who were not given this time around, I will only say, it will go round with time. This Command is lucky and we are happy the CGC is doing us proud, so to those promoted, I say to you, to whom much is given, much is expected. Let’s keep pushing, B’odogwu is doing well and we believe it will take us to our Eldorado,” Onyeka enthused.
