NPA Makes Giant Strides With Dantsoho’s Hands-On Style

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) since the arrival of the new Managing Director, Dr Abubakar Dantsoho has been engulfed with a new air of vibrancy, as he makes significant strides in enhancing the gains of the Port Industry.
Ensuring the ports operate with minimal environmental impact, aligning with international standards.
Dantsoho has opted for greater effectiveness,
Organizational Realignment: Realigning the internal structure to ensure agility, transparency, and accountability, with personnel repositioned strategically at their strongest area of strength to oversee critical aspects of port operations.
The MD’s hands-on approach to issues is also ensuring that decision making is topnotch, effective and gradually pushing the Nigerian Ports Authority to making giant strides.
Digital Transformation is also a must for the Dantsoho led NPA as he said this will lead to a paradigm shift, leveraging on technology to drive growth and increased efficiency at the Ports ecosystem, and significantly improving transparency.
This is expected to lead to smooth operations, better turnaround and less cumbersome deliveries, while also fast forwarding the growth of the Port industry.
The Nigerian Ports Authority under the leadership of Dr Abubakar Dantsoho is also committed to providing, repairs and replacing key port infrastructure, such as: the quay apron , physical infrastructure such as Truck Parks and holding bays which have constituted serious hindrances to smooth transfers and deliveries.
The administration has also ensured the adherence to the E- Call -up system with the enforcement of traffic rules and regulations enhanced, while the NPA intensifies its engagement with the system operator- Messrs TTP to Ltd To enhance service efficiency and response time to users of ‘eto’ platform.
The Ports Authority is not resting on its recent gains as it’s leading the charge on private terminal operators to provide technologically up to date equipment to fast track operations.
Stakeholders are unanimous with their appraisal of the leadership style of Dantsoho at NPA and to them, this could only mean positive developments.
