IWD: Comrade Adeyanju, NLC Deputy President Fetes Women On International Women’s Day

The Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), who doubles as President, International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), Comrade (Dr) Adewale Adeyanju has commended the strength and resilience of women globally in commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day.
The immediate past President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria, also said that women are the mothers of all nations, describing women as the source with which mankind sprang across the globe.
The Oyo Prince, whose soft spot for women, particularly mothers cannot be overemphasized noted that without women, this precious world would have been an empty space, devoid of life whatsoever.
He encouraged women to be up and doing in their various fields of life endeavors, reminding them that there’s dignity in labour anywhere across the world. And that all the most successful women today around the world are the women who have refused to be cowed and oppressed in this domineering world of male gender.
The always outstanding labour magnate admonished women all of over the world to keep upholding their rights towards sustaining their own wherever they may find themselves in areas leadership, especially in nation building and in sustenance of peace, as women are noted for the symbol of peace everywhere across the world.
Adeyanju praised women who are doing exploits in their various professions, urging them to continually be the role models as expected and leading with practical examples, the exceptional species they are in this society of mix genders.
He thanked women on this day for their good works amongst men and pray that their labour in nation building all over the world will never be in vain, saying that the Almighty God is the only rewarder of all diligence.
